Southern Cross Tauraz is an impressive 16.3hh gelding with the looks of a superstar. He has a naturally correct walk, a slow but very powerful trot and his canter is balanced and uphill. He has a sweet, calm nature and is showing a high degree of trainability and rideability. Tauraz is willing to perform and is also showing amazing potential over jumps. You can choose between dressage or eventing.
Southern Cross Tauraz is the result of more than 25 years of dedicated and specialised warmblood breeding. His pedigree features some of the most influential stallions in Australia: Domherr, (sire of Kibah Tic Toc and Dom Eden), Ludendorf (super sire), Valuta (Gert Donvig’s imported stallion) and Jive Magic.
Tauraz’s grand-dam, Southern Cross Caterina, competed successfully at FEI dressage. Among other progeny from the dam of Tauraz is Southern Cross Nova, an exciting two-star eventer (now qualified three-star) who has been described by Heath Ryan as having “… unbelievable jumping ability…her future in eventing is unlimited”. Another sibling of Tauraz is Southern Cross Altair. This wonderful, athletic gelding is very successful in dressage and is now beginning his eventing career. Southern Cross Tauraz is closely related to Karingal Anastasia (Tor Van den Berge), winner of state and national dressage titles. Tauraz is also full brother to Southern Cross Regor, who stands at stud at Southern Cross Warmbloods,Tamworth, NSW.
